My last day at work

After much thought and discussion it was decided that my office would close today. I've spent the last couple of weeks being torn between jumping with joy and crying my eyes out. They say change can be good in ways that you never imagine and that is my hope. After 14 years it really felt strange leaving today knowing I would not be returning.

I have so many thoughts running through my head about what to do next it is giving me a major headache but I know I'll figure it out soon enough. The inside of my house could really use some paint so I think I will start there. Give myself a few weeks to get my thoughts in order before I begin my new job search. I'm thinking maybe a large law firm in the city. Go from one extreme to the next. I mean, why not? Change is not real change if you just go back to doing the same thing. I plan to set my sights high and just stand back and see what may come along.  One thing is for certain, spring is here and I plan to enjoy my time off while I have some time off. Spend some extra time with my family and friends and try to keep the worries at bay. Wish me luck on that one :)

Product Review - Vaseline Spray and Go Moisturizing Lotion

As far as using lotion I am the worst. Not that I don't love a good slathering of Bath and Body Works, it's just that it takes far too much time if I am trying to get ready to go to work or any other time a quick shower is the order of the day. When I saw the commercials for Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizing Lotion I thought, yeah right, but you know this stuff is the bomb! I can't praise it enough. The cocoa scent, which smells so yummy, was the only one they had in stock when I purchased mine but that's been awhile so a little does go a long way. I am anxious to try other scents. For a daily lotion, especially if you are like me and don't use one, it will change your daily routine and you'll be thrilled with the results. No more flaky legs under tights on cold days for me. Try it, you won't be sorry!

Redheads do wear red...on occasion anyway!

Being a redhead I have always had an association with the color red and the connotations used when speaking in terms of red as in being fiery, easily angered, sexually appealing and so on. I would venture to say there has been more research on the color red than any other color. So much so that a few years ago "the red dress effect" came into play. Basically asserting that people are more subconsciously sexually attractive to others while dressed in red clothing than any other. The "go to" color for a hot date.

For me, after some thought, I have concluded that I only wear red when I am in a good mood, have plans to have a good time somewhere, I'm feeling the energy of the day or on a certain holiday that, well, requires something red to be worn, Valentine's Day, of course. I try to pick out clothing for the next day when I can and it seems red is the only color I will change out due to my morning mood. It appears my subconscious was at work and I didn't even realize it. If I feel a bit low or tired, I don't want to wear red. I don't wear it very often regardless but it is a color that takes some thought on whether or not I can pull it off that day. I just always figured it was me. I think I do get more attention when I wear red and on some days attention is the last thing I want. There's nothing more fun than wearing a red dress on occasion, so get out there and sizzle!
